The Hydrographic Confederation accepts the proposal of the Town Council to channel the Rambla de los Aznares in Camposol
The municipal initiative represents an advance in the timely processing of the modification of the General Plan of urban management.
The General Registry of the municipality of Mazarrón has received notification from the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS) in which it comfirms that it gives approval to the proposal of the Council, submitted in February, to channel the Rambla de los Aznares in the Camposol urbanisation area.
Alicia Jiménez, Mayoress of Mazarrón, assessed ” this announcement in a very positive way, because it expedites the processing of the punctual modification to the General Plan of urban management”. The alternative accepted “is the third of those that have been raised between the two agencies and is the main option favoured by the Town Council, being the most viable, economically and technically to solve once and for all the channelling of the Rambla, without affecting any housing already built, ” added Alicia Jiménez.
The Organisation (CHS) a department of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition considers the study carried out by the Town Council of Mazarrón to be “correct”, therefore being a “viable proposal” whose definition should be completed with a project as drafted to process the Authorisation of the works.
In its communication, the Segura Hydrographic Confederation details the observations to be taken into account concerning topography, layout, hydraulic operation, conservation, the receiving rambla, maintenance and retention measures for natural water.
