The Mayor asks the people of Mazarron to be responsible and comply with security measures
Gaspar Miras: “I ask for prudence and good sense, now is not the time for celebrations or mass events”
The mayor of Mazarrón, Gaspar Miras, appeared this morning before the press to give a message of tranquillity to the population, after having been informed of the number of coronavirus cases yesterday, with a total of 26 positives and leaving the municipality with 117 active cases. He also explained that on many occasions the number of tests carried out accumulated over several days, becoming official in a single day, “and as a result, worrying figures come out, but today only three new cases have been reported ”.
Faced with this situation, the mayor called for the responsibility of citizens, saying “I ask that all security measures are met. The next few weeks are crucial, and we cannot let the situation get worse, we have to sharpen all possible measures, so it is extremely necessary that we all do our part and comply with the law. I ask for prudence and good sense, now is not the time for celebrations or mass events”.
In addition, he stressed that cleaning will be intensified in schools and institutes, which begin the school year next Monday, September 14. The mayor stressed that “cleaning will also be done during school hours to ensure that hygiene measures are complied with correctly, thus guaranteeing the safety of children in the municipality.” In addition, he asked for a change in behaviour patterns, especially when entering and leaving schools, avoiding socialization as much as possible.
