The perimeter closure of the Region of Murcia and its 45 municipalities , as well as the curfew from 11:00 p.m. to 06:00 a.m., will remain in force for 14 more days, after the extension included in the new decree signed this Sunday by the president of the Autonomous Community, Fernando López Miras, at the request of the Minister of Health, and which comes into force this Monday, after its publication in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM). The maximum number of people that can coincide in the same group is also kept at six.
In the text of this new regulation it is argued that in the last two weeks the epidemiological situation “has worsened considerably” , as reflected in the report issued on November 6, 2020 by the competent technical bodies of the Ministry of Health . It also takes into account the document recently approved by the Interterritorial Council of the National Health System, which indicates that the Region “clearly” exceeds the thresholds for the incidence of the virus per 100,000 inhabitants among the general population and among those over 65 years in particular.
- At home.
- Curfew from 11:00 p.m. to 06:00 a.m., until Sunday, November 22, inclusive.
- In the town.
- The confinement perimeter and between municipalities continues from 00:00 today.
- The prohibition of groups of more than six people in public and private spaces is maintained.
Another of the points that have led to its signing is the fact that “if the general decline in infection incidence rates does not begin immediately, the public health system could collapse at the end of November “, according to add in text.
The new decree
The President’s Decree No. 8/2020, of November 8, unifies the previous regulations and determines the extension of the limitation of the freedom of movement of people at night during the period between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. the same exceptions as those that have been operational during the last two weeks.
Likewise, the measures contained in the President’s Decree No. 6/2020, of October 26, in which it was agreed for the territorial scope of the Region of Murcia, are still in force, and in the same terms, the limitation of permanence in groups in public and private spaces, set at a maximum of six people. It also introduced certain limiting criteria regarding permanence in places of worship, with a maximum of 50% of the capacity in closed spaces.
It warns of the collapse of the public health system at the end of the month if the incidence of infections does not decrease
The new decree extends the validity of the measures of the President’s Decree No. 7/2020, of October 29, which limits the entry and exit of the territory of the Autonomous Communities of the Region of Murcia, as well as of each of its municipal territorial districts, allowing only those displacements “supported by certain duly justified exceptions “, in order to reduce the mobility and spread of the SARS-COV-2 virus.
The Region thus joins the extensions decided in other autonomous communities, such as Castilla y León and Andalusia.
