An urgent financing line is approved to facilitate liquidity for self-employed and SMEs (Small & Medium sized Businesses)
The Institute for the Promotion of the Region of Murcia (Info) has given the green light to the ‘COVID-19 Cost Zero’ line of urgent financing for SMEs and the self-employed, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER)
The objective of this financial aid is to provide liquidity to the self-employed and SMEs in the Region to mitigate the economic effects suffered by the COVID-19 pandemic without them having to assume additional financial costs, since the Regional Authority will bear the interests of the loans that they subscribe and, where appropriate, of the commissions on the collateral that guarantee them.
The line ‘COVID-19 Cost Zero’ will mobilize up to 125 million euros of urgent financing. Self-Employed and SMEs may apply, regardless of their size and the sector to which they belong, whose activity is located in an open workplace in the Region of Murcia. They could receive up to 50,000 euros as a subsidy at 1.2 interest rate plus 0.75 percent of the cost of the guarantee.
Further information of the announcement will be available in the coming days on the website of the Instituto de Fomento de la Región de Murcia www.institutofomentomurcia.es and www.carm.es.
