The National Government Delegate for Murcia has issued an announcement, translation below.

Monitoring and fines for those patients with symptoms that violate home isolation

The officers of the Security Forces and Corps will verify by telephone or in-person that citizens comply with the recommendations of the health authorities

The (National) Government delegate for Murcia has ordered the National Police, the Civil Guard and the various local police officers monitor and punish those patients with symptoms that do not comply with home isolation, comply with medical prescriptions or who do not respond to follow-up calls from health workers.

José Vélez conveyed this message during a new meeting, held by videoconference, from the Central Coordination Centre that applies the action criteria regulated in the Royal Decree of the State of Emergency.

“Failure to comply with any of these measures poses a serious risk to your own health and that of others, so that, to avoid a Public Health problem, the corresponding body agents will verify by telephone follow-up or in person that they are complying with both home isolation and the recommendations of doctors, “explained Vélez.

The Government Delegation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, will adopt the necessary measures for the effective control of the health crisis caused by COVID-19 and will carry out permanent control over those patients who, according to the information provided by the Ministry itself, have failed to comply with the health instructions.

“The collective sacrifice is proving enormous, and therefore we are going to show zero tolerance with those who, irresponsibly, break the rules and compromise the health of all,” added the Delegate after announcing these instructions.
